TOPS Soccer: For Children With Special Needs
Please keep in mind that we also have a soccer program for
children with special needs which are run through our Northwest
District. The TOPS Soccer Program (The Outreach Program for
Soccer) is in its fifth year offering a soccer experience
to physically challenged young athletes. Headed by Roger Wheeler
of Woodbury, the programs are offered to families at no cost.
Uniforms and equipment are provided and sessions are usually
held in Middlebury. Underwritten by our Northwest District
and partly funded through a US Youth Soccer grant and generous
contributions from private concerns and area soccer clubs,
the TOPS Soccer Program continues to serve as a valuable resource
for a special segment of our young athlete population.
